My work on this project was Cinematographer and Sound to capture the documentary and musical voice of the famous Portuguese Singer – Teresa Salguiero in the Museu da Agua in Lisbon. It was filmed on Kinefinity Mavo Edge 8k Cinema Camera and Schoeps CMC1 MK41 Microphone.

ATRÁS DOS OLHOS (Behind the Eyes) Project: A 20th century painter calls on a unique group of renowned artists at the Reina Sofia Museum/Gulbenkian Foundation to recreate two of his works through Immersive Reality. Their art and biography are reflected and recreated through animation and the support of the institutions that house their work.

Four unique and renowned Portuguese/Spanish artists from different disciplines (painting, music, poetry and cinema) are invited to the Gulbenkian Foundation/Reina Sofia Museum to take part in an Immersive Reality session. They are invited to close their eyes for a few moments and recreate them through a graphic interface (kinetic, acoustic). We, the spectators, open our eyes wide to witness a double adventure: on the one hand, the scenic and graphic recreation, through real images and animation, of certain biographical passages in the lives of our painters, and on the other, to witness unprecedented interventions in the museums that house their works. The library, archive and restoration areas of these museums will help us to reflect on and understand the work and times of these artists of the past, both in their cinematographic narrative and in their Transmedia aspect.

Teresa Salgueiro is, without a doubt, a unique artistic figure in our country and, for almost three decades, has been an emblematic image of Portugal in the world. Her career in music began in 1986 when, at just 17 years old, she was invited to join the founding of the group Madredeus , recording 9 albums of original music, created specifically for her voice. Between 1987 and 2007, twenty years of travel and more than five million albums sold worldwide made them the first international representatives of music made in Portugal after Amália Rodrigues. And Teresa Salgueiro , with her discreet and delicate presence and her extraordinary voice, was the “figurehead” of this musical ship. Teresa Salgueiro , draws us a route through an elaborate, delicate and profound fabric of emotions in which she demonstrates to us, without a shadow of a doubt, her reputation as a creator of magical environments of indisputable beauty.
